FlowUI - is it possible to open multiple screens as in Classic UI?

In the Classic UI, a user can open multiple screens, and they open as “tabs” within the application window. Is this possible in Flow UI? This is an absolutely vital capability in our application as users need to switch between screens of information constantly.
