Dashboard addon -FlowUI

What is the roadmap of the Dashboard addon for FlowUI? I just checked and didn’t find any placeholder in the roadmap.

It’s not decided yet. Later this year we’ll consider possible ways to implement this functionality and then include it in the roadmap.

Hi Konstantin
Do you think you can plan to release it anytime this year?

Hi Mortoza,
We know that Dashboards is one of the most popular add-ons, and we plan to implement a similar feature for the Flow UI as soon as we are done with other popular add-ons that are already on the roadmap. That’s our main focus this year.

BTW, could you share your experience with the current Dashboards add-on and let us know what features you value the most, comparing with just creating the same content in a regular screen?

Thank you Konstantin.

What I would really value is as follows:

The dashboard designer should have the option to dynamically build the elements instead of creating the foundation (widget) at the development stage which leaves a high dependency on development activities. The elements that you can build would be something like as follows:

  • Visual: Let the user select different visualization options like different chart types, summary tables, PivotTable, KPI cards etc. the Also include the option to edit chart title, sub-title,

  • Data and calculation: Let the user select entities, and fields for the dashboard element (chart/table) by simply building the query by drag-n-drop or plain SQL or JPQL (like we can select in the report module). Also keep the option to do simple math like SUM, Divide, Average etc.

  • Dimension: Option to select dimensions based on the visualization selected (chart axis)

  • Option to set filters and use of filters could be for the whole dashboard or specific element

  • Keep the option to refresh the data with certain intervals.

Thank you for the feedback!

Hi Konstantin
May we expect this add-on at least in Q3, 2023?

Hi Mortoza,
Unfortunately, it certainly won’t be ready in Q3 2023. We will just start designing it by that time.
