Issue with BPM Modeler Display in IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition

Dear Support Team,

I am reaching out to report an issue I’m experiencing with the BPM module of Jmix within IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition. Despite having correctly installed the Jmix plugin and holding a valid license for the BPM module, I am unable to use the designer view of the BPMN modeler; only the text view is accessible, while the designer view remains empty and does not display the expected graphical interface.

Here are the details of my setup:

    Jmix version: 2.2.1
    Jmix plugin version in IntelliJ IDEA: 2.2.0-233
    IntelliJ IDEA Community Edition version: 2023.3.5
    Operating system: OpenSuse leap

I have ensured that all necessary dependencies are correctly integrated into my project and that my BPM license is properly activated. I have also consulted the documentation and forums without finding a solution to my issue.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue or provide any additional troubleshooting steps I might take? Are there specific configurations or prerequisites needed for using the BPMN modeler in the Community version of IntelliJ IDEA that I might have missed?

Hello! I will try to help you, please answer a few questions.
Which JDK are you using? Does screen preview work in this project (for example “User.detail”)? Is there any effect from using ‘Invalidate Caches’ with ‘Delete embedded browser cache and cookies’ option? Are there any errors or warnings in the IDEA logs when opening the modeler (please provide if any, you can find it by using Help → Show logs in %Your File Explorer% in IDE toolbar)?

I am using JDK Corretto 17.0.10. Yes, the screen preview works correctly for “User.detail” and other screens as well. I have also invalidated the caches, including the option to delete the embedded browser cache and cookies.

Additionally, I have installed IntelliJ IDEA on Windows with the Jmix plugin and the BPM addon, using the same JDK, and everything works correctly under Windows.

Thank you for sharing logs. I have not reproduced your issue on my Linux machine, but we will try to reproduce the problem in the exact environment, I have opened a new ticket based on your description.
