check the October release features, they will implement multi-tab.

Jmix is using Vaadin for the frontend, so whatever change there is in Vaadin, it reflects on Jmix.
Jmix 2 uses Vaadin 24+

which is too different and the Jmix team could not outright implement multi-tab because of route navigation limitations/changes, as I understand.

As @mbucan correctly noted, Vaadin 24 is a very different framework compared to Vaadin 8, so we had to re-implement Jmix UI almost from scratch.

And, you know, Rome wasn’t built in a day…
